Fishing Missouri waters
Where Zig Jigs work in Missouri
Missouri is our second-busiest state for orders, and it's no surprise. Lake Taneycomo below Table Rock Dam is a cold tailwater a short drive from our home rivers, and it fishes a lot like the White. The trout parks at Bennett Spring, Roaring River, Montauk and Maramec Spring, along with streams like the Current River, are full of trout that see plenty of lures.
A Zig Jig doesn't drop straight down. As it falls, it zig-zags like wounded prey, and about 90% of our strikes come on the drop. Start with a 1/16 or 1/8 oz in the trout parks and go to 1/8 to 1/4 oz on Taneycomo when the generators are running.

Caught in Missouri
Lake Taneycomo grows big trout. The 23.65 lb, 34-inch brown was caught on a black/olive Zig Jig, and Shayne Al's 9.85 lb rainbow was caught on a white 1/8 oz.
Why marabou
The best fishing lure for the drop
Marabou jigs are a favorite among anglers because their soft, flowing feathers create lifelike movement that mimics wounded baitfish and triggers aggressive strikes. Developed in Arkansas and perfected on the White and North Fork Rivers, Zig Jigs take this proven lure to the next level with a unique offset head that creates a natural zig-zag fall instead of dropping straight down.
This action keeps the jig in the strike zone longer and drives fish crazy. Hand-tied with premium marabou, a durable powder-coated head, and a sharp, extra-strong hook, Zig Jigs are proven to catch trout, walleye, crappie, and bass across the country.
